THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT IS THE EUCHARIST LIVED

A life well-lived in Christ is more than sins for forgiven, much more than a manifestation in a charismatic service. It’s a life, namely Christ in us and as us. The vicarious humanity of Jesus in us by the Spirit is us as the expression of Jesus life in His company and that of Father and Holy Spirit. A well lived life is an incarnated life – the eucharist lived so that we are more than in the Presence. The Presence is in us and we are the manifestation of the God at all times where we are. This is the difference between a fits and starts religion, a wooden religion and a religion about religion. It’s Christ come in our flesh. So what is the core of our pastoral effort?

Mission is about more than building churches. It is ensuring that those in them are alive in the spirit and robust in their souls.

“The concern, surely, whatever the life situation, must be for a person’s deeper life in Christ.” Jesus in us is the Door to infinite life. God’s life is infinite and we begin this life when we realise John 14.20. ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.’ This is the day we begin to live our new creation life and we start to grow into the glory of who we are in Christ as sons/daughters of God.

Fullness in Christ is being fully alive in the Christ-life that is ours. It means being the spirit and life that is our inheritance; the treasure that is lived in the self that is a jar of clay because Christ has come in our flesh so that we are in His presence, His presence is in us and we are cognisant of our living in company with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this state we ignite the ordinary with possibility, rejoice in our day, take pleasure in things as simple as gum-leaves on a dirt track and do our life journey in first class rather than with ducks and sheep in the goods van of the train.

There is nothing ordinary about Christ our life.
